Dhaka, July 6 -- Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid today said the nation will long remember the children and women martyred during the student-led July Uprising in 2024 stepped down fascist Sheikh Hasina.

She made the remarks following visits to homes of July martyred Riya Gop, a child who was shot dead in Nayamati and Sumaiya, a housewife killed in the Mizmiji area of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj city.

"We won't let the memory of the women and children martyred in the July uprising fade away," said Sharmeen , also the women and children affairs adviser.

"Their stories will be compiled and preserved. They will not be forgotten," she added.
