Dhaka, Aug. 28 -- Various programmes were held on Wednesday at Dhaka University to commemorate the 49th death anniversary of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
On the occasion, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmad Khan, the university's teachers, students, and staff laid wreaths and offered Fatiha at the poet's grave, says a press release.
Later, an open discussion session was held at the poet's graveyard stage, presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmad Khan.
