Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday described the ongoing national crises as "staged dramas," alleging they were deliberately created to mislead citizens who are primarily concerned about their right to vote.

"People don't care about what a referendum or a charter means.The real referendum will take place on election day," Fakhrul said while addressing a views-exchange meeting at Daulatpur Girls High School ground in Jagannathpur union under Thakurgaon's Sadar upazila.

He added, "We support all reforms that truly benefit the people, and any disagreements can be settled in parliament."
