Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Narayanganj's Fatullah police have registered a case over the gang rape of a woman after her husband was abducted, tortured, and filmed, with the video later used to blackmail her.
Fatullah Model Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam confirmed the incident on Wednesday, stating that the survivor filed the case late Tuesday night, accusing two men of the crime.
According to the case statement, the young couple got married on January 10 in a love marriage, but their families did not approve. As a result, the woman rented a house in East Lamapara, Fatullah, while her husband stayed in a separate rented home in the same area.
