Dhaka, April 19 -- Families of 21 martyrs from Narayanganj, who lost their lives during the student and public uprising of July-August 2024, have been provided with financial assistance of BDT 200,000 each. The assistance was handed over at an event held on Wednesday in front of the District Commissioner's Office.The event was chaired by Hosne Ara Begum, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the District Council. The chief guest was Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Md. Zahidul Islam Miah.Speaking at the event, he said, "Our brave children have shed their blood to establish a new Bangladesh.
