At least six Bangladeshi peacekeepers have been killed , and eight others were hurt in a terrorist attack on a United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission base in the Abyei area of Sudan.
One of the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Jahangir Alam (30), a resident in Kishoreganj 's Pakundia upazila. Mourning is underway at the house of the deceased in the incident.
Jahangir Alam son of Md. Hazrat Ali of Tarakandi Madhyapara village under Jangalia union of Pakundia upazila.
He was working as a mess waiter in the Bangladesh Army. He went to Sudan to participate in a peacekeeping mission on November 7. His personal number is CS-20109.
