Dhaka, July 13 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said on Saturday that a mother faked a bomb threat on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu in an attempt to prevent her married son from traveling to Nepal with his alleged extramarital partner.
So far, RAB has arrested three people in connection with the incident.Earlier, flight BG-373, bound for Kathmandu from Dhaka, was thrown into chaos when an anonymous call claimed a bomb was on board.
The plane made an emergency landing, and authorities scoured every inch of the aircraft for explosives. Spoiler alert: no bomb was found.
But the real bombshell? The call came from a protective mother determined to keep her son from jetting off with his lover.
