Dhaka, Aug. 31 -- A mother and her daughter died of electrocution in Fatullah, Narayanganj, on Saturday evening. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM in the Shiyachar Borobari area under Fatullah Police Station. The deceased were identified as Rokhsana (50), wife of Amir Hossain, and their daughter Lamia (22), both residents of Shiyachar Borobari. According to locals, water had accumulated behind their house, and a motor pump was installed to drain it. On Saturday evening, Rokhsana tried to switch on the pump using electricity from inside the house. As soon as she touched the motor, she was electrocuted.
