Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- For decades, followers of Islam and Hinduism have been practicing their respective faiths side by side within the same premises in Nagarpur, Tangail - a symbol of religious harmony and mutual respect.
The Durga Mandir, officially known as the Ojha Thakur and Harnath Smriti Central Durga Mandir, was established 57 years ago at the Chowdhury Bari in Nagarpur. Adjacent to it, the Nagarpur Central Jame Mosque and Eidgah Ground were established nearly 60 years ago. Since then, both religious communities have been conducting their rituals peacefully and respectfully in the same courtyard.
