News Desk, May 12 -- The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet on Wednesday evening to fix the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims. The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram office at 7pm.

The Islamic Foundation confirmed this at press release on Tuesday. State Minister for Religious Affairs Faridul Haque will preside over the meeting. The committee will announce the date of Eid-ul-Fitr after reviewing information on sighting of Shawwal moon.

The Eid depends on sighting the moon.
