Dhaka, July 2 -- The nation today enters a month of remembrance and reflection, marking the first anniversary of the historic July uprising a student-led movement that triggered a major political shift in Bangladesh.
To commemorate the uprising, the interim government, along with major political parties including the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and the newly formed National Citizen Party (NCP) founded by the protest leaders themselves have each announced separate month-long programmes featuring rallies, cultural events, discussions, and memorial services.
