Dhaka, March 9 -- Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has expressed his desire to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) once he secures a UK passport.

Amir, whose wife is a UK citizen, is optimistic about obtaining British nationality and making himself eligible for the 2026 IPL season. If given a choice, he would prefer to represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Speaking on a show, Amir stated, "By next year, I will have the opportunity to play in the IPL, and if given the chance, why not? I will play in the IPL."
