Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on the occasion of New Year 2025.

"Best wishes for the New Year," Modi wrote to Prof Yunus. Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder confirmed it today (27 January), noting that it came through diplomatic channel.

Earlier on 8 August 2024, the Indian prime minister congratulated Dr Muhammad Yunus on assuming his new role as the chief advisor to Bangladesh's interim government.

In his message, Modi said India remains committed to working with Bangladesh to fulfill the shared aspirations of both our peoples for peace, security and development.
