Dhaka, April 5 -- Bangladesh has huge potential, and it should expedite man-made fibre (MMF)-based garment manufacturing as the global export of such apparel is expected to rise to 60 per cent in 2030, according to a new study.

By 2030, the global export of garments will grow to $1121 billion from $953 billion in 2022, Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) study said.

The PWC shared the findings of the study at a press conference held on Thursday at the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in Dhaka.

The organisation conducted the study on behalf of the BGMEA as part of its target to export US$100 billion worth of apparel by 2030.
