Dhaka, March 25 -- Parveen Mahmud has been elected as chairperson of the Manusher Jonno Foundation, a non-government organisation that works to promote human rights and good governance.She previously served as a member of the MJF's governing body,Parveen Mahmud succeeded the late industrialist Syed Manzur Elahi who passed away on March 12 at a hospital in Singapore.Parveen holds the distinction of being the first woman to become president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh in 2011 and the first female president and board member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, the apex accounting body of the SAARC.She founded the CA Female Forum - Women in Leadership Committee, ICAB in 2017, and served as vice-chairperson...
