Dhaka, Feb. 6 -- Five cows sustained severe burn injuries after miscreants set fire to a cowshed in Uttar Tafalbari village under Sharankhola Upazila, Bagerhat district.

The incident took place late at night, around 3 AM on February 3, according to a delayed report received here.

The cowshed, owned by farmer Abdul Hakim Munshi, was engulfed in flames, also destroying a heap of paddy straw and a betel-leaf garden adjacent to it.

Miraj Munshi, son of Abdul Hakim Munshi, recounted the incident, stating, "We were fast asleep when neighbors saw the flames and woke us up. With their help, we managed to bring the fire under control by pouring water.
