Dhaka, Feb. 14 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the vice captain for the ICC Champions Trophy (CT) 2025.

With the squad set to depart in the late hours of Thursday, BCB has issued a press release to announce Miraz's new role.

The 27-year-old all-rounder has played 103 ODIs for Bangladesh and has the experience of captaining the side in recent months in the West Indies in the absence of Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto who was injured.

Miraz also led Khulna Tigers in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League, where his team played Qualifier 2.

The BCB press release also said that pacers Khaled Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud will go to Dubai on Saturday to train with the Bangladesh side. However, bot...
