Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- Dhaka Metro Rail has resumed operations after a brief suspension caused by a piece of cloth falling onto the overhead power line in Uttara.

The 16-minute disruption occurred between Uttara North and Uttara South stations at 12:22pm on Wednesday, the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-6) said in a message to passengers.

Services resumed at 12:38pm after the obstruction was cleared. This marks the fourth disruption to metro operations in the last 12 days. Earlier, on Nov 30, the entire network was shut for an hour after two people climbed onto the roof of a train in the Secretariat area.
