Dhaka, Nov. 7 -- On Thursday, the recently evicted hawkers in Feni, led by Feni Sadar Upazila Hawkers Union convener Kamal Master, joint conveners Mabul Haque and Rajan Patwari, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding five-point demands, especially rehabilitation, alternative employment, compensation and incentives, and return of the goods of the evicted hawkers.
At 10 am, the hawkers arrived at the Workers Federation office in Daktar Para and presented a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner with a procession.
The signature was received on behalf of the District Administrator by the Deputy Director of the Local Government Department and Municipal Administrator DDLGED Golam Mohammad Baten.
