Dhaka, Oct. 20 -- The body of a female media worker from the online news outlet Dhaka Stream was recovered from her residence in the capital on Saturday evening.

Sher-e-Banglanagar Police Station OC Emaul Haque said the woman's family broke down the door and took her to a private hospital, where police later recovered the body and prepared a post-mortem report. The cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy. No complaint has been filed yet.

The woman, a graphicdesigner at Dhaka Stream, was reportedly among those who had lodged a sexual harassment complaint against the outlet's Bengali content editor, Altaf Shahnewaz. Social media users claimed Altaf was reinstated instead of being punished.
