Dhaka, Oct. 10 -- In the Times Higher Education (THE) 2026 international ranking system, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) has secured 746th place globally in the research quality index.

In March this year, for the first time, the relevant committee submitted the necessary data for this ranking system.

THE considered five key indicators: research quality and environment, teaching quality, income from industry, and international outlook. A total of 19 public and private universities from Bangladesh were included in the ranking.

Among public universities in Bangladesh, MBSTU has achieved 10th place nationally and 7th place in the international outlook indicator in the 2026 list.
