Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- In the Narayanganj District Bar Association(NDBA) election, the BNP-backed panel led by President Advocate Sarker Humayun Kabir and General Secretary Advocate HM Anwar Pradhan secured a sweeping victory. Out of 17 posts, BNP-backed lawyers won 16, while only one member post went to Jamaat-backed panel candidate Advocate Afroza Jahan.The results were announced on Thursday night by the association's Chief Election Commissioner, Advocate Abdul Bari Bhuiyan. Voting took place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in a festive and peaceful atmosphere. Among 1,172 registered voters, 1,053 cast their ballots.
