Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- Jahangirnagar University (JU) yesterday observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day with due solemnity, paying rich tributes to the intellectuals who were brutally killed during the Liberation War in 1971.
As part of the observance, Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan placed a wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals' Memorial at Mirpur around 9:30 am, said a press release signed by JU's acting Director of the Public Relations Office.
