Dhaka, Nov. 2 -- National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo has joined as the presenter of the popular investigative and report-based programme Prekkhapot.

Starting from November 1, Mamo has been seen hosting this awareness-oriented show.

When asked why she took on the responsibility of presenting such a programme, the Lux superstar said, "I took up the responsibility out of social commitment.

Prokkhopot highlights the problems surrounding our society and explores possible solutions."

The programme airs every Saturday at 8:00pm on the private television channel News24.
