Dhaka, July 17 -- The Malaysian government has decided to replace the single-entry visas previously issued to Bangladeshi migrant workers with multiple-entry visas, easing travel restrictions for thousands of expatriates. This change ensures Bangladeshi workers can now travel back and forth between Malaysia and Bangladesh more conveniently.

The announcement came after continuous diplomatic efforts, including a meeting last month between a Bangladeshi delegation led by Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul and Malaysia's Home Minister, reports DO. Malaysia's Director-General of Immigration issued a letter on July 10, 2025, formalizing the upgrade from single to multiple-entry visas for Bangladeshi workers.
