Dhaka, May 14 -- A Magura court set May 17 for delivering the verdict in the case over the rape and murder of the 8-year-old child.

Judge M Zahid Hasan of the Magura Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal passed the order after concluding arguments from both the plaintiff and the defence, said Public Prosecutor Monirul Islam Mukul.

Both the prosecution and defense lawyers participated in the session and the four accused were present in court.

The trial proceedings of the sensational child rape and murder case have been completed in just 21 days.
