Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- A long-term plan is being taken for sustainable development of agriculture in Bangladesh till 2050, said Agriculture Ministry Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian.

At a workshop titled Transforming Bangladesh Agriculture: Outlook 2050 at a prestigious hotel in Sylhet city on Sunday, he said that the government has taken a long-term plan till 2050 by prioritizing the agricultural sector.

For this purpose, a specific plan will be taken by collecting the opinions of stakeholders in the agricultural sector and analyzing all the limitations.

The Agriculture Secretary also said that there is an opportunity to work at different levels in the Sylhet region.
