Locals have been urged not to be alarmed by steam emission and unexpected noise during the steam emission test at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) construction project.The Russian contractor involved in the project, Etmastroy Export, said that the first unit of the project has started conducting 'hot media tests' since Sunday (July 13). According to the project design, the coolant circuit will be heated to the specified temperature and steam will be produced. In addition, other safety parameters will be finally tested.
