Dhaka, Jan. 31 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Mohammad Sajjat Ali has said law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to tackle any acts of violence, including hartals.
"The DMP will take strict action against any attempts of disruption by the Awami League's students wing Chhatra League, ensuring public safety and order," he said while briefing reporters after inspecting theEkushey Book Fairground in Dhaka on Friday.
He said, "If any banned organisation, including the Chhatra League, attempts to instigate violence through hartals or other activities, they will be met with strict suppression."
