Dhaka, April 3 -- Country's both the bourses - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - plunged further on Tuesday due to mainly price fall in large-cap securities.

DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 22.98 points or 0.40 per cent to 5738.40.

Two other indices also ended sharply lower with the DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, plunged 5.61 points to finish at 2,001.72 and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 6.31 points to close at 1,245.34.

Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, decreased to Tk 3676.60 million, which was Tk 4688.21 million at the previous session of the week.
