Dhaka, Sept. 17 -- The Upazila BNP conference and council were concluded amidst great enthusiasm and 100% voting by councilors in Kulaura. 923 councilors were elected by secret ballot in the council held at the Girls High School in the municipality on Saturday.

They exercised their voting rights and elected leaders. A total of 17 candidates contested for 5 posts. District BNP convener Faizul Karim Mayun announced the results of the council session at 7:30 pm on Saturday. BNP's Sylhet divisional secretary gave a brief speech at the time.
