Dhaka, Dec. 12 -- BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is currently being treated with ventilation support.

A press release of the medical board formed for her treatment said, due to an increase in Khaleda Zia's breathing difficulties, a drop in blood oxygen levels, and a rise in carbon dioxide, she was initially placed on a High-Flow Nasal Cannula and BiPAP machine, reports BSS.

However, as there was no improvement in her condition, she was put on 'elective ventilator support' to allow her lungs and other organs to rest.
