Dhaka, Nov. 28 -- BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been moved to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) from her cabin at Evercare Hospital for closer monitoring.

BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the development on Thursday, saying she is being treated under the supervision of a medical board comprising both local and foreign specialists.

He said he visited the hospital around 1 pm and spoke with her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member, Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.

Dr Hossain stated that Khaleda Zia remains under intensive observation in the CCU, with the medical board closely tracking her condition.
