Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has urged for unity as the enemies of Bangladesh are actively plotting to undo the gains achieved through mass uprisings.

Speaking virtually from London at BNP's extended meeting on Thursday, she stressed the need for unity in the fight against autocratic rule.

She said, "I pay my respects to those who were martyred in the prolonged struggle against fascism and those who lost their lives in the brutal July mass killing carried out by oppressive fascist rulers. I also extend my sincere sympathy to the injured."
