Dhaka, April 17 -- Jibanananda Das's 'Banalata Sen' has long been a metaphor for the beloved in the hearts of lovers in Bengalis.

Masud Hasan Ujjal is making a film about this mysterious character with government funding. The film is titled 'Banalata Sen'.

It was previously known that Khairul Basar would be acting in it. However, neither the director nor the actor said anything about which role he would be playing.

Now it has been revealed that Khairul Basar will be playing Jibanananda Das on screen.
