Dhaka, May 14 -- Kerry Kennedy, President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, met with Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chair of the National Consensus Commission, on Wednesday to discuss the commission's ongoing efforts to foster inclusive democratic dialogue in Bangladesh.
The meeting took place at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and centered on the commission's strategic roadmap to draft a national charter aimed at laying the foundation for a democratic future.
Professor Riaz briefed Kennedy on the progress of initial consultations with political parties, noting that preparations are now underway to launch broader national dialogues involving a wide range of stakeholders.
