Dhaka, July 19 -- BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas has accused the interim government of displaying political bias, claiming it is "favouring one party while carrying another on its shoulders."
Speaking at a silent march and brief rally in front of the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, on Friday, Abbas cautioned the authorities against marginalising the BNP.
"Do not proceed with an agenda to eliminate the BNP. We are cooperating with you. Announce the election soon, and peace will return to the country," he said.
"Otherwise, it will appear that you have long been orchestrating unrest in the country."
