Dhaka, May 24 -- Mohammad Hasan (23), who was injured during the July mass uprising, has died while undergoing treatment in Thailand. He passed away around 11 p.m. on Thursday. The information was confirmed by Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, personal assistant to Health Ministry Adviser Noorjahan Begum.

He said Hasan's body will arrive in Bangladesh today at 6:15 p.m. on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. From the airport, the body will be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar, where his first funeral prayer will be held.

Afterward, the body will be sent to Chattogram. Mohammad Hasan was a hafiz of the Qur'an and had been undergoing job training at a private institution after completing his religious education.
