Dhaka, May 1 -- After more than three decades, Jahangirnagar University has announced the long-awaited schedule for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (JUCSU) election, which will take place on July 31, 2025.

The announcement came early Thursday morning at 12:15 AM from Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kamrul Ahsan, during a press briefing held at the university's administrative council room. Immediately following the VC's declaration, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Prof. M Maniruzzaman of the English Department unveiled the full election schedule.

As per Article 8 of the JUCSU Constitution, elections for both the JUCSU and the Hall Parliaments will be held simultaneously on July 31, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
