Dhaka, July 14 -- Jatiya Party (Rowshan) has described the deteriorating law and order situation across the country is severely damaging Bangladesh's image in the international arena. In response, the party has demanded that the army be given magistracy powers to swiftly restore law and order.
Party Secretary General Kazi Md. Mamunur Rashid made these remarks at a press conference held on Sunday morning at the Sagar-Runi Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).
He said that in every part of the country, people are terrified by crimes such as murder, terrorism, extortion, rape, and land grabbing.
