Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- A Bagerhat district-based correspondent of the newspaper Dainik Bhorer Chetana was hacked to death by miscreants. The incident occurred in the Uttar Harikhali area of Bagerhat Sadar Upazila on Friday evening at around 7:30 pm. The body of the deceased has been taken to the morgue of Khulna Medical College Hospital.
The deceased, SM Hayat Uddin, was a member of the Bagerhat Municipality unit of the BNP.According to police and local sources, unknown miscreants attacked SM Hayat Uddin (45), a journalist with Dainik Bhorer Chetana, in the Uttar Harikhali area of Bagerhat Sadar Upazila at around 7:30 pm on Friday and fled the scene.
