Dhaka, March 4 -- The district administration, army, consumer rights and BSTI, along with various departments concerned, have conducted a surveillance operation in retail markets including Rajganj in the city to control the prices of daily necessities during the holy month of Ramadan.The joint team, led by Deputy Commissioner Amirul Kaysar, conducted the drive from 11 am to 2 pm.During the drive, vouchers for the purchase and sale of various products including fish, meat, chicken, soybean oil and lemon, among various daily necessities, were monitored.The deputy commissioner warned traders not to cheat consumers to earn more profits.At the same time, BSTI tested domestic and foreign fruits and vegetables in retail markets through a mobile ...
