Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Unit-8 of Rapid Action Battalion arrested Sultan Nasiruddin, 39, working as a tailor and son of Hazrat Ali from Kazirchar under Muladi upazila of Barishal, as an activist of propagation unit of Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB) on Wednesday.
Leaflets, books, mobile phone used for propagation of JMB ideology also recovered from possession of the arrestee.
Raisuddin, additional superintendent of police and spokesman of RAB-8, issuing a press release on Wednesday, added that Sultan Nasiruddin during interrogation confessed that he passed SSC from Peyadarhut Wahidia Secondary School of Muladi in 1996 and HSC from Barishal Government College in 1998.
