Dhaka, June 3 -- Three suspects have been placed on a two-day police remand in connection with the murder of Yasin Gazi, a businessman from Jatrabari.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah issued the order on Monday after a hearing. The accused - Al Amin, his wife Nazma Begum, and relative Sabina Akhtar - were brought to court by Jatrabari police, who had requested a seven-day remand. Defense lawyer SM Zakir Hossain opposed the plea and sought bail, but the court granted a two-day remand instead.
The case was filed by Yasin's wife, Sharmin Akhter, accusing Al Amin, Nazma, Sabina, and another relative, Harun, of being involved in Yasin's death.
