Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- A violent clash erupted between leaders and activists of the Jatiya Party (JaPa) and Gano Adhikar Parishad in Dhaka's Kakrail area on Friday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:15pm in front of the Jatiya Party central office, confirmed Arup Talukdar, duty officer at Ramna Police Station.
Following the confrontation, a large contingent of army personnel, along with police and other law enforcement agencies, was deployed to the scene to bring the situation under control.
Both parties have traded blame over the violence. JaPa leaders alleged that activists of the Gano Adhikar Parishad attacked them while marching past their office.
