Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- Jatiyo Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader has alleged that false cases are being filed against party leaders and activists under the ongoing Operation Devil Hunt, which was launched nationwide on Saturday to catch culprits trying to create anarchies.
In a statement on Monday, the party Chairman condemned the move, highlighting that some Jatiyo Party leaders and activists in Gazipur were falsely implicated in absentia the previous day.
Quader urged the government to take immediate action to stop the persecution and harassment of innocent individuals.
He said the Jatiyo Party is facing severe repression, with numerous fabricated cases being lodged against its members.
