Dhaka, June 7 -- Jamaat-e-Islami has expressed support for the Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus's announcement regarding the 13th parliamentary election timeline, saying the nation feels "assured" by the commitment to hold polls within a clear timeframe.
In a statement issued Friday, Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman said the announcement has renewed public confidence. "The people now expect the government to ensure a free, fair, and acceptable election within the stipulated period," he said.
