Dhaka, Dec. 20 -- Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Platform and a frontline fighter of the July movement, has embraced martyrdom while undergoing treatment in Singapore. His martyrdom has created an atmosphere of mourning, anger, and protest across the country. In this context, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has issued a statement.

In the statement on Friday, he said, "Patriotic people from all walks of life are praying to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of Hadi's soul, while at the same time expressing deep resentment over the failure to ensure the security of his life."
