Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer, Dr Shafiqur Rahman, has pledged that the party will exhaust all efforts to meet the aspirations of the students who took a stand during the July uprising.
"The parents of the martyrs hold their heads high, for not every parent is fortunate enough to raise a hero. We will remain forever indebted to their sacrifices," he said on Monday.
Dr Shafiqur made the remarks while speaking to reporters after visiting the grave of Ishtiak Ahmed Srabon, a distinguished student of Feni Government College who was killed during the July uprising in Mohipal, Feni.
