Dhaka, Sept. 18 -- Seven political parties, including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, will stage simultaneous protest marches in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon, demanding that the upcoming national elections scheduled for February be conducted in line with the July National Charter, along with several other demands.

Before the marches, brief gatherings will be held near Baitul Mokarram Mosque, the National Press Club, and surrounding areas.

The parties have announced a three-day program with nearly identical objectives. On the first day, protests will take place in Dhaka; on Friday, in divisional cities; and on September 26, across all districts and upazilas.
